The Intensive English and Orientation Program (IEOP) at Iowa State University is a member in good standing of the Consortium of University and College Intensive English Programs (UCIEP) whose mission is to promote excellence in intensive English administration, curriculum, and instruction. IEOP is an English language-learning program with a strong academic focus. It immerses students into spoken and written American English as well as educational and social cultures of the United States. As such, the IEOP curriculum focuses on the academic skills international students need to be successful in their undergraduate or graduate studies in the United States.
